Stereo audio over coax

Just wondering if it's possible to send line level audio over CT100 coax? I have Cat 5 running to the same place, but at £100 for a pair of baluns I just want to see if using coax is cheaper....

Re: Stereo audio over coax

If you have two spare CT100's, it's worth trying. The shielding on CT100 is designed for much higher frequencies than audio so I don't know how effective it would be at blocking 50Hz mains hum.

Failing that, and if you don't mind a bit of soldering, you can make a pair of CAT5 audio baluns.

You'll need four of these.
