CCTV Problem

Bought a single camera CCTV unit from Argos, cheap and cheerful one.

I cant record footage unless I leave the television on the AV channel.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Re: CCTV Problem

Go on, give us a clue. What are you trying to record onto? How is it connected to your TV?

If you tell us what your TV is, what your recorder is and how they are connected we might be able to help you.

regards

Brian

EDIT : must type quicker, must type quicker

I just get blank tape, or if I tune the TV into BBC1 I get that, only when the TV is tuned to AV, the VHS is also tuned to record AV, do I get footage from the camera.

Re: CCTV Problem

Is it possible to swap the scart connections the other way around on the video to see if that makes any difference? It sounds like you are recording the feed from the tv via scart.Maybe you have to record on av2
