Home Wireless Self Install Security System

Looking for a self install wireless security system

Max Budget is £500 but would like to spend less obviousley.

Im not clued up on anything like this, and am unsure on what brands to look for.

Some of the stuff about looks very 80s, Is there anything with decent looking keypads..

Wouldmind one where you can add PIRs too. Maybe get a more expensise one a just build it up over time.

Any help would be great

Cheers

Mark

Re: Home Wireless Self Install Security System

I recently fitted a Burglar Alarm from a company called ESP.
They are decent and once setup work well.

They come in a set - main panel, 2 PIR + 1 Free, Magnetic Contact- This is just a start --- some also include Keyfob, wired or wireless bell box, Animal PIR, Home Automation x10, Phone dialler, GSM Dialler

see http://www.alertelectrical.com/default.asp . They have a special offer for £199.03 plus vat. They also have other brands.

If you go for this brand i can give you some tips on setting it up. It is a start and you can expand at anytime. I bought from a local electrical supply store in Birmingham.

Re: Home Wireless Self Install Security System

Hi i was looking for home security and was recommended to a website with promising products http://www.myhome247.co.uk

Their products seem to be the cheapest around - basic wireless analogue system for £50!!! But I have purchased their X1000 system with IP cameras which run through ethernet to make them sort of wireless which set me back £199.99 .Also it has no limit to how many wireless products you assign to it and can add wireless door sensors, sirens and other stuff. As well as being a multipurpose system it is also quick and easy to set up.There is also a monthly charge of around £6.00.This gives you space to store pictures and events with sensors, but the best thing is, i can control it and view the camera live footage over my mobile and have signed up to receive txt alerts - although i havent got round to setting that up yet - will keep you all posted.

Rick

ps their customer service help was great!

Re: Home Wireless Self Install Security System

Hi Guys

Cheers for all your help, not been able to get online as the new house hasnt got BB yet, had to wait to come into work..lol

I did see the 247 ones Ricky and they do look great, but i was thinking of your more std alarm system.

These Infinate Systems sound exactly what i need.

I mean i know they arent as good as wired ones, but its more of a detarent than anything. Stop the petty theif.

Will have a look on these sites,

Thanks once again guys...

P.S So, Expect some Private mesages for help once it arrives... lol
