i'm in the process of gutting and doing my flat up and have put up a suspended ceiling with a 10" gap all the way round. I want to put blue strip lighting all the way round but living room is 25ft by 15ft so i need long strips at least 4-5ft each. i've searched the net and found flurorescent tubeing but with fittings are very expensive. Any ideas where i can get these at good prices. i've tried the undercar led neons but they were not bright enough.

Im an electrician and never put up these type of neon light but i know someone who did.He was waiting ages for a supplier to get it to him so he made his own.He got a normal two tube flourescent and got blue plastic sheet and wrapped it around the bulbs.Ive seen the job and looks bright enough.

Are you after a glowing effect? If so then why not look at rope lighting instead. This stuff runs off mains directly, can be cut to length and even dimmed. Not too expensive either.
