LCD TV's and Touch Sensitive Lamps

When I switch on my newly acquired Sharp LCD TV the touch sensitive Table Lamp we have also switches on. This happens all the time and only when the screen image comes on. The Lamp has 3 brightness and off. If the lamp is on the light level will go up by one level also. It does not go off when the TV is shut down. Just wondered if any one has a simple explanation of this, or has seen it before. It's not a major problem to us but I am puzzled as to what is happening.
