We have just moved house, and Im about as much use as a blow up dart board with stuff like this.

I think someone will be able to help me, it seems quite straigt forward.

We have three bay windows in the living room with blinds.
We have one large blind in the dining room.
We have multiple lights plugged into sockets in the living room and dining room
We have the normal ceiling lights in both rooms.

I want all these to be controlled by one remote. Any ideas how to do it? Also the blind people are coming tomorrow. Should I opt for their remote control systems or should I attach my own, and if so which one and how!!

They can all be controlled by a single remote. However which remote depends on what type of signals operate them.
They will be either infra-red or RF.
Infra-red needs line-of-sight (you have to be able to see the device)
whereas
RF can operate through solid objects (e.g. walls)

You can purchase the 1 x remote + 3 x socket kit for £18.95
or you can purchase the light specific sockets which also have a dim function.

For your ceiling lights I recommend the varilight dimmer. It comes in several styles (chrome, georgian, matt chrome, white and victorian) and gangs (number of switches). Good prices here :

As mentioned on another thread, Rako will control all of these from either wireless wall plates or RF remote controls
