Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me here since think I know what I want but not what I need....

I am hoping to get 3 or 4 rows of 3 equally spaced spots installed in my living room ceiling. The living room is 5.16m * 4.29m (16'11" * 14'1")

1 row above the sofa, which is against the rear wall in the living room. This is the longest dimension. (Row 1)
1 of 2 rows in the middle of the room (Row 2 and 3)
2 row infront of the telly, which is wall mounted on the wall opposite the sofa. (Row 4)

I want them set up as different zones so I can:

1. Have all the lights on at full brightness, for when I need to put the vacuum around, etc. (Rows 1,2,3&4)
2. Have the bank of lights above the sofa on for reading, but also be able to dim these out completely for movie watching, but have Rows 2,3&4 on and dimmed or off if required. (Row 1)
3. Have the middle 2 rows of lights on and on an low dim for movie watching, whilst row 1 and 4 are off. (Rows 2&3)

I want to be able to preset all these settings into the switch to enable each of these settings at the press of a button. A remote would be nice too if possible.

I have been looking at these:

As you can see I am a bit clueless about what I need and need all the help I can get.

If you go with any of those then you will not be able to control all 4 zones (circuits) individually.

YOu either need the P400 or look at Rako as a suitable alternative. A little more expencive but more flexible as it is easy to add extra circuits and even trigger curtains and screens.

Hi, do you have a budget, ive just installed a 24 chanel system with 84 preset scenes fully remote control, made by anytronics, its amazing, it have adjustable fade rates etc, its a fully wired system with all switches run on low voltage, hope this help let me know if you want any further info,Sam

Might the Helvar Digidim 4 be worth a look? You can use twin & earth for the "data" connections to the keypads using this system and additional keypads are sensibly priced compared to many other manufacturers.
