Trettion Lights. How do you mount yours?

Hi All,

I have a set of Trettion lights and will be mounting them in a false wall on the chimney breast within a cutout that houses the LCD panel.

Now, how have you all mounted your Trettion LED lights?

Are they slap bang on the wall facing out, facing to the side or have you set them away from the wall somewhat?

Just after some advice to get the best spread of light and visual effect.

Many thanks,

Kelvin

I did some extensive testing to get the best effect (to my eyes at least).

With my Ikea Lack cabinet (horizontal with stainless steel legs) my favoured method is one strip on each vertical upright, facing towards the rear wall - this produces a soft glow with the added benefit of the bars being completely out of view.

Don't underestimate the brightness of these lights - I found them a little too harsh when side mounted and pointing to the left and right of the TV.

What colour have you opted for? Mine are blue.

Regards,
Gav

think its really down to your own preference got mine set on the side ,l also used 4 on each side of the false wall l put in for the mount , the only thng not happy with are the small breaks in omitting light onto the wall, but for that price looks cool , also went for the blue

Yup, went for the blue (is there any other colour? )

Must admit, hadn't tried them facing back into the recess, will try that. I'm just trying to avoid having the corners of the recess darker than the sides. Suppose I could always buy another set and use them as well

Take a look at Mully@110's thread - he's attached a photo with more than one set being used.

They also come in clear (white?) and green.

Mounted my lights (green) around the back of the screen facing out, they are held on with a bit of blu-tac!! Still holding strong 3 months later.
