Post Building House - Stair lights?

Hi everyone,

ok, heres the deal. At the moment im building my house and have been for the last three years . Me and my wife were talking about how we were going to light the stairs as she wanted LED Stair lights (lights set into the wall on the right) but didnt know how we were going to have them turn on. I have been around this forum a while just looking at things but the last thread that came up about this subject wasnt really the info i was looking for.

This is what we decided we wanted - Infra red sensor at the top of the stairs, and another at the bottom. When one is triggered the lights on the stairs come on starting with the one closest to you with gaps of about 0.5 secs. After 5 seconds they would then turn off the opposite way.

What were need to know is what kit we would need for that and where we could get it. I would be completly happy with building a PCP so have no problems about that. If anyone could help i would be very grateful
