Cupboard door switch for light

Hi,

We've asked our electrician to fit a light in our cupboard which should come on when the door is opened. He is apparently having trouble finding such a switch which conforms to appropriate safety standards. Anyone got any idea where I might find one? I'm sure they exist but I'm struggling to find one. I think part of the problem was that we were looking for mains powered lighting rather than low voltage although we are not necessarily fixed on that decision.

Anyone done this?

Kind Regards,

Paul

Thanks

Yes, saw that but it doesn't say anything about it being a particular standard i.e. BS/ISO whatever which was my electrician's concern. He bought one from the internet and said it didn't look particularly sturdy/safe and I suspect it was a bit like that one. I'll pass it on to him though.

It is one of the hardest things I've ever had to try and find on the net - can't believe there aren't more out there!

Regards,

Paul

As the tool one from toolstation above is £3-10 I question your use of the word BARGAIN.
