Wickes remote sockets

Hi guys, has anyone got any experience of the above? They are sold as a twin pack with a remote for 20 quid. I think they may be rf but not sure....so will they work with my harmony 688 (prob not!). Also do we know if they are controlled individually as the remote does'nt seem to have any buttons on it! I know they are only 20 quid but I still don't wanna waste me dosh!

I use some in my garden, they are RF so will not work with your remote though.

The switch has a slide down pannel with 4 switches on it to control up to 4 seperate plugs (My pack only had 2 plugs though) the range is very good as I have them connected to my pond pump and garden lights sockets which are in my garage and the remote works from anywhere in the house or garden (through the walls with no problem) Depending on your plans for £20 you cant go wrong

Ditto for me - are there any simple mains sockets/plugs that are controlled via IR? I just want to be able to turn something on/off that currently only has an IR toggle.

CJ, see here: Advice on a basic "remote control plug" for use with Harmony 525 sounds like you're after the same thing as me. A simple IR plug socket, on, and off....

Not as easy to find as I suspected.

Would these work when operated by a Harmony 885?
