OK, just got a house and completly renovating it as i plan to stay here for most my life. Any way, i always fancied having speaker in every room that i could play from my main hifi in the living room.

I have already run cables from the living room to,

the back garden x 2

1 to each of the 2 bedrooms,

1 to the bathroom.

2 to the hall and landing

1 to the kitchen.

That means i have 8 speakers around the home.

plus i will have a full 5 speaker setup in the living room.

Now i was going to just buy 4 cheapish amps for like £60 each, and making them mono with some splitter leads, giving me 8 mono channels out.

then taking an output off my main home cinema amp to feed it all. Would this work?

Any since looking around on here i have noticed there are systems designed for this? Does anyone sell an 8 chaneel amp? if so who.

Also i have noticed on here you can get controlls for each room so you can turn the volume up/down from each room. Who is best for these types of systems? and whats involved with it all?

i'm an electrician by the way if that makes it easier. thanks
