Infra-red control of X10

Hi new to posting on forums so please be patient! I have a "Home Theatre Master" remote to control AV and now wanting to expand into home automation via PC.

The question is however, is it possible to use an IR remote to control X10devices or does have to be RF ?

Thanks in advance and apologies if it's a daft question

Ian

Yep no problems you just need an IR7243 Infra-red -> X10 converter

Cool I might look into X10 now! If I can turn my lamps on and off with my TV remote that would be cool !!!!!
