Home automation system for new house

Hello I hope some one might be able to help me with what I hope to do in my new house I plan to wire a 5 room A/V system I have a speakercraft mzx-66 , ipod dock and 5 of the lcd keypads for this system so half way there I hope .

what I would like system to be like
MAIN ROOM

In this room I hope to have a projector and screen thinking of putting a tv of some form behind were screen would come down as I would not be using it all the time only when kids are playing xbox or watching some sport or a good movie not sure what type of speakers I want to use i.e ( in ceiling or wall ) also what type of sub

LIVING ROOM
Not going to be using this room much so hd tv and couple of speakers as its not a big room

BED ROOM 1 AND 2
Same as living room hd tv on wall and couple of speakers

BATHROOM
couple of speakers

From source to all rooms is about 20 to 40 meters so I think 2 rooms I will be able to wire HDMI cables then the other two I would have to do with cat 5 or 6 and use the converters for these tv and projector now as the speakercraft mzx-66 is not HD I would have to add some sort of video matrix switch to it so I would be looking one that the mcx-66 can control and would let a couple of hd sources work at the same time i.e be able to watch skyhd in one room xbox and blue ray in another room any help with this would be great thanks

The mzc66 is a tough old bit of kit and has certainly stood the test of time very well. I would consider using a dedicated control system (such as Control4) to integrate with it as this will help with controlling other devices such as an hdmi matrix and can also better integrate with your other av kit (so you don't need to keep swapping remotes etc)

I would personally avoid running long HDMI cables as they can easily be damaged and prone to potential issues further down the line. I would run 4 sets of quality cat6 to each tv point and you should have most bases covered.

Hope this is of help

You have to get it installed by one of their approved installers I believe....
