Need a cheap electric heater

I need an electric heater for the bedroom.

I've seen some before, but can't find them anywhere .They cost 5p an hour to run or something like that to top up heat.

I won't need it to heat the room up from cold - just to top of the heating when i switch the heating off at night.

I have an air source heat pump system which annoying heats up all the rooms or no rooms at all and seems silly to heat up a whole flat for one room.

Plus it turns on the fan in the bathroom as it extracts air which can wake me up as i'm a very light sleeper.

Can anyone recommend one, smaller the better.

Great noticed i spelt cheap wrong in the title. Can a Mod update pls. Can you also pls move it to "Home Automation, Lighting, Security, Heating and Cooling "

thanks.

Obviously I don't know your circumstances, but why do you want to heat the bedroom at night? You sleep better in a cold room, and a decent duvet should keep your body warm.

If you insist, 5p an hour represents roughly a 300-500watt heater. There are plenty on the market. For example:

Buy DELONGHI HS20/2 | Portable convection heater - Specification | Comet

That's up to 2kW, but has a variable setting.

Re: Need a cheep electric heater

Perhaps you are hinting at one of those very long narrow ones that would just keep the chill out of the room?

I have one of these and rarely use it, but they are cheap to run and they don't get the room too warm - this is fact is the exact one I have:
Buy Glen Skirting Heater 500W. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for .

Also, I have a few family members who have oil filled heaters. These are more expensive but are meant to be good as they stay warmer longer, and if they are fitted with a thermostat then they will go off when the room is warm enough. Might be worth a look:
De'Longhi HLP400 Oil Filled Slim Super Panel Heater, 400W: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home

or a much thicker one:
De'Longhi Bambino TRN0808M Oil Filled Radiator, 800W: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home

Thanks for your replies.

I hate a cold room- even when sleeping. I wake up with a sore throat if the room is too cold.

The Bambino looks interesting its nice and small and a friend also recommened the same one but 500w.

Was about to recommend the Bambio myself....If you have Costco membership they're pretty cheap there, about £40 (not sure in the wattage though!)
