Varilight I/R Touch Dimmer wiring question

Hi everyone,

I've just bought a 2 gang touch dimmer and 1 gang slave and I'm having problems getting it to work.

The two gang switch in the lounge controls some wall lights and the ceiling lights. I also have a single gang switch which also controls the ceiling lights.

The wall lights are working fine however the ceiling lights won't come on. I suspect that the 2 gang switch might infact be the slave and the single gang the master.

Behind the 2 gang (ignoring the wall light wires) there are 3 wires Red = Common, Yellow = L1 and Blue = L2. Behind the single switch I have the same wires plus two extra red wires. One in L1 and one in L2. Behind the two gang I've swapped the Common into the Live on the new switch. The Yellow into Load and the Blue into Slave. Behind the single gang I've done the same however the extra red wires have stayed with their original colours. It just won't turn on.

Does the fact that the single switch has extra wires mean that it's the master? If so does that mean I need to buy two "proper" sockets, as the wall lights are controlled from the 2 gang? A two gang master and a one gang master?

I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give me.
