Hi neal,

Yes it is possible ''without problems'' to program individual settings that can be tailored to each persons tastes.

I have been discussing this same subject with a reputable retailer, that is also fully trained in stallation of light fittings, room automation and so on.

They have explained that this same system can also be tailored to set lights for when you are on holiday.....they have recommended LUTRON SYSTEMS.

Their reason for choosing this manufacturer over some others is because of the top & reliable quality of the light fitting power transformers(they have a long reliable history of not failing.)

They have given me a price for about 8 light and transformers with control panel being £500, of which I am happy to pay.

Each room is classed as 1 x module and so I would want between 4 to 5 modules in my flat..

Of course if I want themselves to install this system then that would be an extra cost, but I have expressed that I would take annual leave, to help out with this installation.

Sorry for this long reply and hope this helps.

Honest Regards

P.S. These systems are also very economical(low) on power consumption

Re: Is this possible?

Easiest thing is an IR Dimmer switch (Lutron Rania for example) and a programmable remote. Insert into a the Macro for the remote for projector on a 30 second delay and the command to dim the light.

Some sort of control will be needed, a Lutron on it's own won't know when the AVR or PJ is being turned on or off. It would still need to be part of a remote control system or home automation system.
