Re: Home Cinema Lighting

what rip at that price.. its seems anything with led in costs the earth when in fact led has been round for ages.

go to a large B&Q and look for simular lights that are much cheaper (although still too expensive)

i mean £117 for what 10 leds ? some frosted/plastic glass and a colour change feature (avaliable in most LED`s anyway) just add some cheap chrome surround and bobs youre uncle another expensive gimmicky philips product.

personally id stick to other methods used on here like the flat led lighting strips

Re: Home Cinema Lighting

I have one. It is very effective but expensive for what it is and as mentioned above, you can get a kit with more lights for a lot less. It suits a corner fine but if I wanted to light the other corner, it would mean shelling out another £100. I have a LED lighting kit that I bought for something else (from noodleman? on here) that I will probably end up using.

Re: Home Cinema Lighting

Do you have a link to an LED lighting kit so I can see what they look like?

I'm looking for some home cinema lighting. I am considering some rope lights, is this the same as LED lighting kits?

Re: Home Cinema Lighting

I've got one of these Apollo Ambient Light Kit and it is great. Huge range of colours and transition phases which can be controlled through a small remote. I went for 4x9" tubes, which I have mounted on the rear of my 37" plasma with sticky pads. WOuld certainly recommend this and a lot less than the Phillips thingy!
