Candy CMD136 washer dryer not taking on Fabric Softner

Google drew a blank and the boss is getting on ym case now!!

As title, our washer dryer is not taking on the liquid fabric softner from the drawer.

No idea why. Any clues?

When my Hotpoint does this it's usually because the little pipe from the softener drawer is bunged up, probably just needs washing through with water to get all the horrible slimy gunk out of it. On my machine there's a removable plastic part that's got the tube built-in, not sure what candy ones are like but if you can remove the drawer on yours it might be obvious from that.

Ahh, should have mentioned.

I;ve had the drawer out and to bits completely, it has the little pipe and cover over it, which looking at it makes no sense whatsoever as there is no where for the liquid to actually drain of using gravity, theoretically there will always be a level of liquid left in there.

Anyway, I;ve already tried cleaning everything out to no avail.

Thanks tho!

Hopefully someone here should be able to help, think there are Engineers on there and a bit selling a huge range of spares.

Re: Candy CMD136 washer dryer not taking on Fabric Softner

This may sound silly but try adding some water into the conditioner compartment before adding the conditioner as most of the conditioners are now quite 'thick' and the machines have dificulty drawing the conditioner out.

By thinning it out, our Zanussi workes perfectly once again. Like you, I also cleaned the whole drawer out but this made no difference until I thinned the conditioner out. HTH,

Re: Candy CMD136 washer dryer not taking on Fabric Softner

Thanks for the suggestion guys.

Turns out it was indeed some gunk built up , but not inside the little tube.

There is like a removable cover that sits over the top, and in the very top of this cover, which covers the outlet pipe was just enough built up gunk to seal the outlet.

A quick fettle down and everything is fine again.

Shame though, was saving me quite a bit in Softner
