Not sure this is in the right section of the forum?
Anyway, my wife and I have used a condenser tumble drier for the last 4 years (2 different makes) and have found it indispensible, especially living in a relatively small terrace and not having much external space to dry things.
Essentially you can put a condenser anywhere as it collects all the water in a special storage draw which you then empty into the sink, so it doesn't need to be vented to the outside (plus all the heat eminates into the kitchen (or wherever you're using it) and doesn't escape outside, which is very nice during the winter!
Both driers have fully dried a large load (5-6kg) in 1-2 hours depending on what's in it. Our new one has a sensor setting which is supposed to stop the drier when the clothes are dry, although I'm not entirely convinced that it works. Energywise they are hungry beasts, but it's an issue of convenience for us, there's just no way we could do without it now. Just make sure you get the highest rated drier you can. Cheaper ones tend to be about a C rating, our current one from John Lewis is a B, but you can get A rated driers now (although they are expensive!). Happy hunting!
