I've got one of these (twin set) and it's a very classy, full-featured home phone.

Siemens Gigaset SL785.

Great call quality, well-built, looks nice, lots of features (including ringtones and PC sync), but expensive.

We use the Siemens SL565 and its excellent. The base unit sits right next to the wireless router and neither have any interference issues. I've not read anything about doorbell extenders tho, interesting.

Er, the phone is. The place I bought from charges £165 for the twin-set. (But I think the price has dropped since I bought it.)
