Condensing Dryer

After a condensing dryer due to lack of space. anybody got any tips on what to look out for and what to avoid ?

Erm..

It's all pretty straightforward really.

I guess you could look at the water catcher. Larger the better. Then you don't need to empty it as often.

I find that quite often I start the dryer and come back to find it's stopped as it's full up with water.

If it is going on or near an outside wall, or near a drain get one with an outlet pipe as well as the internal bottle, this way it never need emptying.

We have had a condenser drier for 2 yrs now, it is at least 30% more expensive than our very old zanussi vented drier. It is convenient for us to have a condenser & it heats a room in the winter but think about the increased costs. Our condenser is an A rated zanussi - I can only recommend them as a way of weaning yourself off tumble driers as I refuse to put it on unless we really have to.

the problem is we find it hard to dry our clothes especially in this murky manchester weather.
And now with a little one on the way we need to make sure cloths are dry.

Get one that automatically switches off when the clothes are dry

Saves a lot of money and hassle!

Bosch WTE84103 Classixx is a good one.
I had a Zanussi-Electrolux ZDC46130 which I can highly recommend and is pretty cheap too.

yeah we got one with sensor drying.
Got a Beko £219 from "coughcometcough"

I'm selling mine on ebay at moment, takes up too much room as theres only 2 of us.

Mines a creda and to be honest I actually took the condenser part out as it took twice as long to dry clothes with it in, all this meant was that the hallway got humid while it was in use but I kept a window open.

The latest dryers out are the heatpump condensing dryers, they work like a dehumidifier to heat and dry the air inside the dryer.

If you can find one of these over here then you will be saving money in the long run...
