My Zanussi Fridge Freezer has (sort of ) died.

A temp alarm keeps going off saying that the fridge is either too warm or too cool (doesn't tell you which) although the fridge is still keeping cool.

Tried setting the temp control high and low but no difference for the alarm.

Having spoken to a very nice chap at a local repair shop (who was very honest) he said the model I have would be £50 call out charge (same as everyone) and the cheapest senser for it is £40 +Vat but if its one of the borders they are £210.

Why is it cheaper to buy a new fridge than repair an old one??

So with that in mind, can any one recommend a good place to get a new fridge freezer, (can be graded stock, i'm not proud) Online or Local shop.

I am based in Portsmouth/Gosport area but can travel, but would then need delivery.

There's always http://www.clearance-comet.co.uk/ but it's not often the bargain place it used to be. Too many numpties bidding stuff right up and they often charge an additional £50 for delivery.
