50hz vs 100hz?

Hello, sorry if this has been covered, I'm quite new to this industry.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to save some money, haven't owned a TV for 3 years.
My budget is at a very hard push, £500.

After alot of research, I settled with the Samsung LE32R87BDX (1080i) 50hz.

Then i found out that 100hz displays are fresh on the market.. one, within the same price range as the samsung is the Panasonic TX32LMD70
(32" 100hz).

To save me an awful lot of time doing more research and trying to think of the real-world practicalitys of 100hz over 50.

Could anyone tell me if the 100hz is a wiser buy?

My main use for it will be my PC, hence me not buying a cheper £350 32" model.

Thank you so much for any replies.

Re: 50hz vs 100hz?

If these are LCD screens and I can say that Home Cinema Choice Magazine (Ithink it was them) had a review of a Sharp 100htx 32 lCD and although it liked elements of the 100 htz feature the conclusion was hit and miss and best left off.
