run out of HD inputs - options?

Hi guys,

I've now filled up my HD inputs - are there devices which you can use to split or share inputs?

I've two HDMI (one for sky hd and one for dvd player)
one component which is used for the x-box 360.

I really need to use the component from my PC graphics card - any ideas?? I may be able to sacrifice the hdmi from the dvd and use good old scart... but not sure if the component to hdmi would work??

Assuming your display doesn't have VGA and your PC doesn't have DVI, then your only option is to get a Component Video Switch!

It would REALLY help if you gave the make and model of your TV

Re: run out of HD inputs - options?

Hello mfacer

Lots of Digital (HDMI) and Analogue (3RCA) HD capable switches on the market - see http://www.octavainc.com/ and http://www.zektor.com/hds41/index.html

Usually when you want to mix/combine Digital and Analogue Sources you require a relatively expensive Video Processor (Scaler) though Gefen have a new 'low cost' 2 x Digital + 2 x Analogue Switch with on-board scaling/conversion that may be of interest; see http://www.gefen.com/kvm/product.jsp?prod_id=4174

Re: run out of HD inputs - options?

hi guys - thanks for the info...

the TV is a Philips 32PFL5522D

I think a component switch might be the way forward.... unless I can sacrifice an HDMI for the dvd player!

thanks
