Sony KDL40S/KDL40V Opinions Sought

One of the sets I am considering is the Sony KDL40 either S or V.
I have read all the Sony Info and now the difference as per the catalogue spec, but what I would like to know is the V worth the extra £300 (UK) being
asked. Would like to hear from any one who has brought either.
Does any member know where I can get a better price than £1419 (V Model)from RGB.

purchase, I wish you all the best if you do purchase a Sony set
you will not regret it.

to throw in some more confusion there is now a sony KDL U (for uniform) series
any idea where that sits within the range and is it better than the S?

The U range is the entry level range, older panels etc. The S and V are more or less similar, the V having a few extra features. The S is superb though. Good value.
