Fair use is being ripped apart in the US and the UK will soon follow if the broadcasters and industry as a whole have their way, perhaps the last bastion of DRM free telly could be the BBC
In the US of course the argument is now that shows can be legally downloaded then file sharing/distribution even of FTA content is costing the broadcasters money. Expand that to FTA content being distributed outside the US and being watched in countries who buy broadcast rights then the "grey area" becomes a deeper shade and they like to remind you of that every time you play a DVD and have to sit through some video of a girl downloading a movie then having a fit of conscience and cancelling it, tacky and pointless
