Italian HD

Our Italian neighbours are at it now.
33 East 11470 V 27500 MPEG2.
A short loop seems to be Italian sourced.

Jim.

Wonder if that is for Sky Italia (and is it any relation to BSkyB - the logo looks like the old Sky logo).

Sky Italy is part of the RupertMurdoch media empire so it is normal to be similarities in the two broadcasters and in the future we are going to be a clone of Sky Uk...
They are planning to launch the HD for the world cup whose they own all broadcast rights in Italy and to use simple HD decoders without hard discs for the moment and use more evolved ones later in the year.

Cheers

Congrats to Jim for finding an important feed.

I don’t have access to this bird at the moment, but a reliable source tells me this will be the location of an HD feed from the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino. Standard def trial broadcasts are underway right now. Don’t get your hopes up just yet though… All the official multi and unilateral feeds will be scrambled come February.

Cheers.
