Confused about what to spend my cash on..

Hi all.

The time has come to replace my Philips 32" wide (circa 1998) for a HDTV.

My parents have a Philips 30" LCD Pixel+. I have never got used to the picture quality. Sometimes it will break up with fast action. A flaw of early LCD?

I've seen "demos" of LCD, plasma and DLP. The stores I went to knew very little about the products. Namely D.S.G and Comet. It was pointless trying to view DLP Tv's as the stores were too bright.. Although in Dixons the LG LCD looked the bizz.

I really don't know what to go for. My budget after some extra saving will be around £1.7k

I live near Aylesbury, are there any decent dealers close to me where I can get a decent demo?

I have same problem as Digiguy. Had kind off settled on the Philips 32PF7520D, but couldn't get stock at my target price, then reading your forum has given me doubts. Perhaps you can help us both out with some specific suggestions.
