Is it possible to add chapters to .ts files?

If there's one itch I can't scratch at the moment, it's the laborious task of fast-forwarding a HD movie to get to the point where I left off. I press the stop button to get a refill of J&B and when I resume play, the film starts from the beginning. I don't like pressing pause since I've got a phobia about screen burn.

Is there a program available that can add chapter markers to .ts files every 5 or 10 minutes into the running time? (Or even better, at the points I specify?)

Any help would be appreciated, apologies if this topic has been posted elsewhere, but I can't say I haven't looked

You won't get screen burn in the time it takes you to refill your glass Understand your plight, though, it's be useful to be able to get back to the point in the film where you left off as I often watch a movie over 2 stints.
