Euro1080 HD1 trailers?
So have Euro1080 started broadcasting trailers for the HD1 channel material that's supposed to start on 1st Sept then? Anything interesting?
Cheers

Yes, they were showing short trailers today between programs and the new HD1 logo.
From memory, Nature, Fashion, travel and yachting. Nice quality footage.

Program details are to be released next Mon or Tue at a press conference but the clips have hints of what is coming as I mentioned further up this thread.

some of the trailers are looking nice. Saw a few earlier and great to see wildlife stuff along with motor racing (LG Championships). I do wish they'd give us some definite programming for next week though..gagging for this

Have seen the new HD1 logo, as well as some trailers involving yachting and mountain biking, While watching Euro1080, there was a clip from a Cypress Hill event and heard an expletive(MotherF----r) on air at 08.35am this morning, other events shown while typing this are Horseriding, Go-Karting, Motorcycle racing, Football, athletics and car racing(not sure what type, the car looked like a Dodge Viper though!!) My Yamaha AMP even changed to Dolby DGTL for a spell as my PC is connected optically to it, the sound was impressive!!.
Another clip is indoor cycling, and what appeared to be the BBC Proms.
Now all I need is for Technisat to finally release the new SKystar1 CI Card.

...what added benefit does the new Skystar offer over other cards?
I'm waiting to see what progs appear b4 jumping on the 1080 bandwagon - but for 140, the card isn't bad value for 5+ years viewing. Just a bit concerned they're not pushing the product a bit harder. I mean, the card isn't actually easy to find is it ? - you can't even buy it from their site (or a link to any suppliers)

Which other cards work with Euro1080? I thought we were waiting for a CI PCI card and wasn't aware there were any that worked with an encrypted Euro1080? If there is something that works already then I'd like to know what it is!
Cheers,
Andy.

Just remembered why it might be better for me to get the Qualitv STB, I need to watch on my projector and my plasma, haven't figured out how to do that yet using my PC , at least an STB has DVI and component outputs which solves that problem

There does not appear to be enough of the tech specs of the new Skystar CI Card, to really say what benefits it has over the others.
As was said £140 for 5 years is'nt bad value for a subscription, more so when next year, Euro1080 aims to broadcast films with a choice of languages.
They are very quiet considering it's nearly Sept 1st and we still do not know what content they have to show.
www.sateuropa.co.uk sell the card on it's own at £140 I think, or I believe the user digitalsafari was hopefully putting together a complete package when the Skystar is eventually released.

"They are very quiet considering it's nearly Sept 1st and we still do not know what content they have to show."
There are some clues on the channel itself for instance today during one of the trailers between programs I spotted an on screen message " French Championships Mountainbikes Sept-2 22:50 CET"
