| Re: Simple HiFi System for Ipod - Help Needed
If your budget is really that tight, and you can't wait until you have more money, then that is probably a pretty fair system. The amp is a little weak with only 25 watts per channel. But I've heard other 25 watt amps that sounded OK. It would be much better if you could possibly move up to the Cambridge Audio A5 model with 60 watts/ch for £119.
The speakers, based on specs alone, look pretty good. The respond down to 45hz which is excellent for such a small speakers.
So, again, if your budget is really that restricted, then this will probably be a pretty fair system for you iPod.
You really don't need a 'dock' for your iPod. A simple cable with a headphone style plug on one end and two RCA connections on the other is sufficient to connect any portably MP3 device to any audio amp.
Just a few thoughts.
