Tascam CD-RW900SL CD recorder

Hi all.

I've just bought one of these to replace my old minidisc deck, mainly because MDs are becoming hard to get hold of, and aren't very convenient. Well it is a superb machine. It isn't fussy about media (you can use computer data CD-Rs), and has similar controls and functions to a good tape deck. It also has DJ-oriented features like pitch control and a key change function.

The thing that impresses me most about it is the playback. The audio quality is superior to my regular CD player, a Sony SCD-XB940, something that I was not expecting.

Has anyone else had experience with these? I've not had a chance to have a proper play with it yet but I am VERY impressed so far. Do these 'professional' CD recorders have higher grade DACs or components to the consumer ones?
