what amp?

Hi,can anyone recommend an amp up to £1000 to partner with a cyrus cd7 and focal 714v speakers.
I currently have a roksan kandy mk1 which has started to develop a fault.
I am considering the mk111 version or the capsian, cyrus 8 or naim nait. I have also been offered a primaire i30 ex demo for £1095. Decisions, decisions. Anyone help?

Re: what amp?

First of I must say I am a decicated Arcamite but how about the Arcam A38 ?
Got my first listen last week - absolutely amazing
Listed @ £1200 but you may be able to persuade dealer to do a deal. That's where my money is going when I get some
All depends on your tastes - Arcams tend to be very neutral ( some say laid back - I disagree ) but I would say well worth a listen. Not sure how it would all go together - only your ears can tell.
All the best.

Re: what amp?

Nad amps are under rated and would sound lovely with some focals
( i have focals in the car through a Genesis amp which sound beautiful ) so know what they can sound like.

Definitely think a Nad would do them justice
Similar to arcams just better INMHO, plenty of power and you not paying for the name. M3 maybe if you want the prestige model

Worth a listen

Agree there about arcam amps not been neutral sounding. My arcam A70 has a nice smooth sound with great dynamics. My amp also has no bass/treble controls but there isnt hiss so i presume they have also put some high frequency filter in.?
