turntable

I bought recently second hand 5i amp and cd player along with harbeth P3ES2 speakers. Very happy with the sound but I would also like to revisit my vinyl and in fact intend to but some more. Anyway, I have reading about turntables in the hi fi press and forums etc etc. I had intended to buy a second hand michell gyrodec which I think I could get for about £800 or so, or perhaps even an orbe, which would still be well under £1500.

Anyway, I read a very impressive review of the SRM arezzo in one of the hi fi mags the other week, so I was wondering if anyone on the forum had heard it and their thoughts, if so? One of the attractive aspects of this deck is that I could upgarde over time.

Hi Andy

I've had an Arezzo (in it's basic form), with an RB300 arm and Denon DL110 cart for the last 8 months and love it to bits. It really does sound as good as it looks (and it looks even better in the flesh)

Unfortunately, i'm the worlds worst person at describing the particular sounds/characteristics etc of a piece of hifi but if you are interested, PM your email and I can send you loads of links, reviews from other owners etc.

I'd also recommend ringing/emailing Stuart at SRM if you have any questions about it, he really is one of the nicest blokes you could meet.
