Where do i put my speakers????

I am sure that 90% of setups are not like the adverts for these 5.1 setups, you know the one with only the one sofa!!!!! Link below

So i am sure many of you are in the same boat where do i put my speakers???

i have attched a simple layout of my room i know that numbers 1 and 2 should be where the front speakers go and number 3 the centre.

But what about the rear speakers i have some options what do you think is best or have you got the same????

1) 4 and 6
2) 4 and 7
3) 5 and 6
4) is there any point in getting a 5.1 setup????

Might be worth trying 4 and 7 and use some speakers that spread the sound well - dipoles or maybe even some NXT based ones. Not sure how good a surround effect that will give you as the 'sweet spot' almost certainly won't cover both sofas.

Either that or be selfish and stick them either side of the sofa you are going to be sitting on.

No chance you can rearrange the room and put the sofas together?
