Exclamation PHILIPS HTS3357 or SONY DAV-DZ260 Home Cinema System?

Hi i cant decide which home cinema system to buy.

the two are exactly the same price at pixmania:

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/1176...ys.html?type=i

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/5361...tml?itag=20958

there are pros and cons about both.

the sony has both coax and optical input. this is good because i need to connect the ps3 via optical.
The Philips only has coax input, but i have an optical to coax converter at home. the only problem is that im not sure if any sound quality would be lost.
The philips has the red and white connections at the back which the sony does not have. this is good because i can connect the tv to it.
the sony can upscale to 1080p but this does not matter to me because i have a 32" TV.
the philips has the tall boy rear speakers which is not very important for me but it is better.
i have heard a lot of good things about the sony, but this is not enough to convince me!

the other specs are about the same. can someone help im not sure which one to buy....

Neither I would go with http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/produ...oduct_id=15886 as it is a separates system and use your PS3 for DVD's if you do not have a DVD player.
All-in-ones are not upgradable separates are.
One bit fails on a all-in-one you then throw it all away.
The Yamaha has two optical and one co-ax input for 5.1. It has many stereo inputs and a direct 5.1 input suitable for PC's etc.

Thanks, but the reason i want an all in one is because it comes with a dvd player which upscales to 1080i. my ps3 is from the US so dvds will not work

Well I would add a cheap upscaling DVD player rather than get a all-in-one.
Just check this site out there are loads of people who come back asking how can I connect this and that to my VERY limited all-in-one with next to no inputs or none at all.
