Primare i30

hi
Having recenly taken the plunge and replaced my ageing NAD amp for the primare i30,I went to hook up my bk sub through the high level speakon connection as used on the NAD.Connecting everything up went fine on switching the primare on after about 30 seconds the primares protection circutry kicked in.On contacting primares distributers because of the design of the primare seperate power supplies to both channels, they did not reccomend connecting the sub in this way but through the low level connection.Having now done this via the pre out of the primare, both sub and amp work fine.Be warned if you are thinking of purchasing an amp of this design neither BK or primare to my knowledge warn of this ,and this could have been a very expensive mistake on my part.
By the way the difference between the NAD (which Ive allways thought good value for money) and the primare is like chalk and cheese,it handles everything with ease and brings something out in the music that was,nt there before, and as an added bonus its built like a tank.
