Arcam Vs Rotel cd players

Hi all

I'm after some quick advice on two cd players that are both on ebay for £50 (buy it now price):

Which is the better buy? The owner of the Rotel has indicated to me it's 6 years old. Don't know how old the Arcam is, but it's had a new laser fitted which would extend its life in theory.

For reference it will be going with Mordaunt-Short 914i's and CA Azur 540R v2 AVR.

The Arcam was about £300 when new, the Rotel a little cheaper, £230/250 I believe. The Arcam is smooth and warm, the Rotel more neutral and detailed. Your choice!

Arcam are more likely able to service their older CD players.
