Which Amplifier?

Ok, so first of all hi everyone! Just joined this forum as it looks like a great place for information.

Now... Me and the missus have decided we want a decent stereo hi-fi. After listening to several speakers we have decided on the Monitor Audio RS6s which seem to be a bargain at their current sale price at a well known retailer. So the question is which amp should we be looking at to power them? When we heard the speakers, a H/K HK970 was the amp was used which to be honest sounded great but I can't find many reviews at all, and less on reliability etc.

I have found a place that does the HK970, the HD970 and the TU970 for a modest price of £460.

This looks like a bargain to me, is there anything else around this price range which could better this?
