Where to buy?
Hi, I'm new to all things Hi-Fi and home cinema. When I've bought all-in-one systems before I've mainly used Richersounds. I'm looking for separate systems, for music and cinema so I'll be after CD players, Amps and Speakers. My budget is £500-1000.
Can anybody please recommend dealers/retailers to buy such things?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Where to buy?
Where are you based?
Richers aren't a bad place to buy from at all, but there may be somewhere better in terms of demos etc...
The system they offer with in effect the Kef speakers free is excellent! http://www.richersounds.com/informat...st=hifisystems - see System 4 for £999

Re: Where to buy?
Thanks Scott, I'm based in Liverpool. I was looking at their deals on systems, and the one you linked to. My mate reckons I should be spending twice as much on speakers than on amps / cd players though, so I ruled these deals out.
Ideally, I don't want to spend over £200 on a CD player, and might stretch to £300 on an amp.

Re: Where to buy?
I'd disagree. You want to be spending more on your amp/cd than your speakers for sure

Re: Where to buy?
Agree with valleymon, some of the £200ish standmounts out thier are great these days and will stand some really good equipment. Skimp on the player, amp, cables and support with a great pair of speakers and you're unlikely to find the best combo at £1k.

Re: Where to buy?
The recently updated System 3 at £550 from RS looks good. Don't forget to budget in for cables, interconnect and stands.
Also, try Sevenoaks, they have a good sale on at the moment, managed to pick up MA RS1's for £260 (25% off) and 10% off stands, cables and interconnects.

Re: Where to buy?
Thanks everyone.
Yeah, most people on this forum seem to think its better to pay more for the source, so I'll look at that. Sevenoaks sounds good, but you can't seem to buy anything from their website, and Manchester is a bit far for me.
I'll use Richersounds, and ask them to demo the CD packages.
Cheers
