Adjusting my Dual 505-4 Turntable

After asking in another thread about a replacement for my Dual CD 505-4 turntable, I thought that it might be worth asking here if anyone could advise me on making an adjustment on this turntable before I finally send it to the dustbin.

The problem is that the arm lifts off some records before the track finishes. I would think that this is a very simple adjustment, but I can't see anything to adjust on the arm.

The bottom of the case is fixed in place with some very big staples, is it worth me pulling these out and possibly breaking the plastic casing, will there be someting inside that will sort my problem out?

No! Leave them in place!

If you want to get he deck out of its casing, then you need to unscrew the transit screws on the top plate enough so that they come free, then tilt the tops so that they point towards the outside edge of the deck nearest them. This will tilt the rest of the screws underneath the top plate inwards and bring them out of their seatings so the deck itself can be lifted out. There may, however be a couple of screws that you will need to undo to allow the cables to pull through.

Thanks for that! Do you have any ideas what I should adjust when I get the deck out? I don't think they make them any more, I think this deck is eight to ten years old.
