Recommend me a soundcard for stereo setup

Hi all,

Have got the following, Monitor Audio rs6's, Marantz pm7200 amp, conected to a self built PC using a Creative Audigy2zs soundcard, now I know a pc isn't the best way for music ( a cdp is best ) but I have no choice but to stay with the pc, so I need the best soundcard for stereo playback only.
Budget is £100ish and I need the option of hooking up a dac via digital at a later date.

Many thanks.

you could move up to the X-Fi series by Creative, or M-Audio, they often have good soundcards for music....

otherwise you need to be looking at more professional type cards, which can be had cheap sometimes if lucky, but not all that often, if you dont mind going secondhand you can pick up some lovely Yamahas if you hang around for them....heh

Follow up,

Got a M-audio 192 soundcard to replace the Audigy 2zs and the difference is astounding. Sound stage is much wider and the 192 shows detail not heard in the ol 2zs.

Recommended to anyone thinking of doing the same.

Also anyone looking into a decent stereo sound card should take a look at the E-mu 0404. I belive its the professional brand of creative. I got one of these cards for mp3 duty and its fantastic for only £70.
