Switching from DVD player to CD player to listen to CDs
Hi guys!
It's been bugging me for a while, and the time has now come to finally purchase a dedicated CD player for my system. All these years I had DVD players to run my CDs, but that's over. Alas, I have avery limited budget (150 quid absolute max), and I'm not looking into buying the ultimate disc spinner either, given that I will use my current system (see signature) to play discs. SACD is not really of any interest (the DV565 plays them), only CD really. I have been looking for a week at various prices available, but would like to know if anyone has a descent experience with a player in my price range? I appreciate all your help

The NAD C521 BEE is £150 at Richer Sounds. It has plenty of enthusiastic fans and I would consider it on a shortlist to listen to. Compare to the Cambridge Audio 540C. Same price at the moment but again has its followers.

Thanks for your advice - I will look into these two. Even with the setup I'm currently using, do you think this will make a difference?

I think it will personally but you still have to listen to make the final choice.

Actually I meant the difference between the CD player and the DVD player - not the difference between the players you suggested. Even then it might just be down to my ears

I was talking about the dvd/cd comparison too. The choice isn't just which cd but if you consider even needing to upgrade is required. I did, many don't.
