Bush Record Deck
Hi all
Anyone got any views on the bush record deck that Richer Sounds sell for £39.99. I plan to use it as a way of transferring all my old LP's to my computer. This deck has a Pre amp built in so I am hoping it will save me the bother of using a seperate amp. I am not that bothered about quality and being a bit of a snob i wouldn't normally consider having Bush equipment in my house, nut I think it might just do the job I require.
If I am talking out of my hat please letr me know before I waste my 40 Quid
Ta
Matt

If you're not bothered about quality I'm sure it will be fine. What have you got to lose? if it doesn't work, just take it back!
(If you are bothered by quality I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!)

If you mean the Bush MTT1, then I've been using if for transferring from vinyl to CD (via yamaha HD1300). It seems to do the job pretty well, with no noticeable turntable noise, and a nice crisp sound, once the LPs have been given a quick scrub. I bought mine when it was £100, so £40 seems like a good deal...

Yes it is the MTT1 and it is actually £49.95.
I assume I will need some software to carry out the transfer. What are you using and is it easy to use?

got this tt too - it's fine, sounds surprisingly good for the money. Very light, and not much isolation, so if you're going to be doing anything that might 'jolt' it through the floor than some extra isolation (e.g. put it on a shelf...or put some cheap rubber supports underneath it). For £40, though, has to be a good deal

Must concur with the chaps here, I used to own a TT1 too years ago, excellent little device. But I would say if you spend £100 and get a Project Debut, you are in the first realms of Hifi TTs IMHO.

I bought one for my parents a while back and it sounded very lively and respectable for the money. If I had a bigger budget, I'd recommend the Debut I, which I'm running through a Rotel RQ-970BX phono stage. Sounds stunning to these ears.
