Thumbs down Cambridge Audio 640H - TOO MANY PROBLEMS!

I've had my server around 3 weeks now and i've been experiencing lots of problems, even with the latest software (02.01.50) installed. The software freezes and the machine needs to be reset, occasionaly it plays the music at slow speed???? (Like a 45 being played at 33), occasionaly again it will be happily playing through a playlist and will suddenly start playing a horrendous noise instead of the music (reset the machine and it clears). My main problem though, and the reason i'm returning it for a refund to Richer Sounds today, is that it doesn't seem to rip a lot of the CD's correctly. In a large percentage of my albums I get regular audio "drop outs" when I play them back, as if a split second of audio is missing. This destroys the ambience of the piece altogether and as far as i'm concerned renders the 640H useless. Unlike some of you guys, my experience of customer support isn't positive either. Richer Sounds arranged for CA Support to call me, and they never did, despite several calls from Richer to chase them up, and me waiting over 2 days. Apparently they were "very busy" (unsurprisingly if my unit is anything to go by). I also emailed Richer Sounds support and got no response from them either. However, The Leeds store (and in particular MIke, who took several calls from me) were very helpful and have offered a replacement or full refund. Full marks to them. In principal I like the 640H, and I may look at it again when the problems are sorted, but for now it's a "no go" as far as i'm concerned.
