Anyone willing to send overseas?

I am new to this forum. I have not seen anyone from outside UK in this forum, maybe I had not head enough. I have just moved to Vietnam and looking forward to get preowned hifi to kick start my long lost passion for music. Do not know if this is possible.

You just have to ask the seller

You should be willing to pay first, including for all packaging and shipping costs.

The problem you will have is that most sellers do not want to deal with issues regarding lost or damaged shipments. Customs and import forms can also be a hassle, depending on what is being shipped, what it's worth and what country it's going to.

You also are likely to face significant insurance costs, depending of the value of the item(s) being shipped. Again, you would have to agree to pay those or risk receiving a damaged item for which no compensation is available.

In the end, you just have to ask.

Thanks for prompt reply. Understand the cost and insurance issue. Ask this question to broaden my choice of used hifi.

The second-hand markets will be dictated by what products were available in that country in the previous years.

I am based in S.Asia and what I noticed was the availability of products change quite drastically, as the market is so small and may be one or two companies are importing a certain brand.

When I was growing up we had Marantz, Sony &etc - good Japanese brands. Hardly any European stuff. That was 30 odd years ago.

What I notice now is that most popular brands are LG, Panasonic, &etc and most are AV related, hardly anyone is seriously considering Hi-Fi now and those that are have money to buy ludicrously over-priced imported kit.

You may also need to think about getting things shipped from other countries around you - it may work out cheaper - but again brands are restricted.

I am considering getting a cheap tube amp these days mainly because I am closer to China!

It all depends where you're residing. I would not go for tubes if the voltage supply is fluctuating too much. You also need to warm up the amps b4 you could enjoy good music. I am a fan of tubes but couldn't get one as I am residing in a remote area where power outage is regular and fluctuations are sometimes widely even with my voltage stabilize.

Well, for a handling fee I am prepared to ship to you. I have shipped to various countries around the world so it's not a problem for me.
