Carlos Vamos - Piece of Eternity, Cd on system below .
A friend of mine first heard Carlos Vamos busking in Holland he bought two Cd's from him and gave one to me and the sound he gets from a simple acoustic guitar is astonishing. I have bought several of his Cd's now and all of them are superb .
Here is a taste of his simplest acoustic style .

and this where Carlos has a bit of fun Amazing !

Spyro Gyra ~ Point of View (1989). Probably my favourite of all their many albums, when the band still included Dave Samuels on mallets, marimba & vibraphone and the excellent Richie Morales on drums.

Aha! Another smooth jazz lover. Along with Electro58, that makes three of us here. If you'd like a few recommendations to albums in this genre that you may not yet have come across, take a look at a few of my reviews at Amazon.co.uk: Profile For Julian Stevens: Reviews

Chuck Loeb ~ Presence (2007). Something of a return to earlier form following a few albums that departed from his usual style but which didn't really turn my key.

Home system (sounding rather better now I've re-sited the BDA-1 well away from the BP26. Similar benefits result from siting the MPS-2 power supply well away from the pre-amp).

The Doors ~ L. A. Woman (1971). A bit of a mixed bag (I'm not so keen on the slow, down-in-the-dirt blues numbers), but the good tracks are terrific.

??? I have eight Chuck Loeb albums (haven't got round to reviewing all of them) + all four Metro albums.
Just listening to The Rippingtons' Modern Art (2009) on the home system (only got four of theirs, of which Curves Ahead from 1991 remains my favourite).

Rick Braun ~ Nightwalk (1994). If he's ever done a better album, I've yet to find it. Mind you, those deep bass pulses on track one are positively dangerous on a system able to reproduce them in full measure. Definitely not to be played with the volume control turned too far clockwise. You may find your bass cones hitting the limit of their travel, which can be very alarming with a seriously powerful pair of amplifiers driving them. Alternatively, your amp/s may clip.
