can you connect an active sub to any stereo amp?

i have an acoustic energy radience sub, which has an av sub input (standard sub cable) and line inputs..

i've currently got the sub connected to my yamaha as-500 via the yams sub out and the subs av in connection using a standard sub cable, it works fine..

however, i was thinking of buying a marantz pm7000 (no plans to lose the as-500, but wouldn't mind a second amp), the pm7000 doesn't have a sub out though, is there any way i could still connect it to the sub?

cheers..

Hi and Merry Christmas

If the sub has a High Level Input connection then it can with any or most stereo amps via the speaker bindings

No probs.

EDIT: The link below is for a BK Xls200 sub and on page 3 it shows you how to connect to a stereo amp which is i think is standard for most subs except the sub's HFE input connector, which i understand could be different on the AE.
