Speaker outputs and line outputs?

Silly question but, I bought a little CD player as back up to my main one which I put through a mixer and amp. When I unpacked the new one I found it had no line outputs only speaker conections how can I convert these to line outputs??

Can't imagine a standalone CD player having only speaker outputs. Is it a Walkman type with a headphone socket?

A model number or better a photo would help.

Speaker outputs

Hi Crocodile, thanks for reply.
What this is, is a little table top CD made by Bush (LS003). It is made for a kids bedroom I guess.
The reason I need it to go through my amp is I have been roped into providing music at a kids party. So I bought this with a view to it being a back up if my main player had a problem. It is not designed to play at the volume I think we need. bearing in mind my amp is 240 Watts the desk top is 4 Watts. I am capable to solder flying leads into the unit to produce line output only, I just dont know where. The unit will not be used for anything else once modified.

I guess you could connect some RCA leads to the speaker terminals. Start with the volume control at zero & then wind it up VERY gradually until you get a decent output without clipping & then somehow lock the volume there (Blutack?).

Obviously there's a risk that if anyone tries to increase the volume you could have some serious damage to your kit. Surely you could pick up an old, used CD separate for peanuts?

I've just remembered that at the back of the garage somewhere, I have a very old Philips external CD-ROM drive. It's essentially a stripped down CD player & I've used it as a standalone player in the past in an emergency. If you want it for the cost of post I'll see if I can dig it out.
